Englipedia
A great lesson plan site, especially if you are looking for junior high school activities. Activities are linked up across New Crown, New Horizon, One World, Sunshine, and Total English, so no matter what text book you are using, your target grammar point is easy to find.
Genki English
Genki English is probably one of the most well know ALT oriented sites around. Largely aimed towards elementary school, the site contains a good number of games and activities that tend to be quite fun.
MES English
MES English has a huge number of flash cards. The pictures are quite cartoonish, and best suited for elementary school or early junior high school. Recently the owner has been expanding on the site, adding games, worksheets, videos and more.
QuickFuse
A fast paced vocabulary computer game. Create and use your own vocab lists!
NATTO Database
The "National Archive of Teaching Techniques Onlines" or NATTO, offers lesson plans moslty intended for junior high school.
ALTs in Sendai
A site run for ALTs living and working in Sendai. Contains lesson plans organized for New Horizon.

Finding Work

The JET Programme
The Japan Exchange Teaching Programme, run by the Japanese government, places English speaking non-Japanese nationals in schools around Japan as assistant teachers. Placements last from 1 to 5 years.
Interac
Interac is one of the largest private suppliers of ALTs in Japan.
RCS Corporation
A private ALT company with offices in Tokyo, Saitama, and Nagano.
Borderlink
A private ALT company based out of Saitama.
GaijinPot
A job listing site for foreigners and bilinguals in Japan.
O-Hayo Sensei
An online newsletter of teaching jobs in Japan. Very useful. Lists a number of direct hires not advertised elsewhere.
